What is most important though, is that we've won many praises and repeat visits from our guests because of our incredibly caring and dedicated employees. Check out what people are saying on Yelp:
Cassie Sampson has a background in recreation therapy (UNI grad, 2001) and has been a licensed massage therapist since 2005. She founded East Village Spa in 2008. In addition to providing skilled massage therapy, skin care, and safe nail care services, the spa also provides employment to a "family" of 25 awesome service providers and support staff. Cassie believes her employees should earn a fair wage and benefits they need to stay healthy. In addition, she allows opportunities for them to give back to their community and organizations they care about. East Village Spa understands that if employees are happy, it will show in the quality of services and genuine care they offer to their guests at the spa.
Cassie cares deeply for the massage therapy profession and has served on the Iowa Board of Massage Therapy since 2016, and is currently serving as chair. She advocates for safe, ethical massage therapy and has been a massage business and ethics instructor for over a decade. While Cassie no longer takes scheduled appointments, she enjoys helping in a pinch and still does volunteer chair massage for organizations she's passionate about.
